I was floored yesterday. I was literally speechless with a smile from ear to ear. It is not often that a single ingredient, dish, idea, or anything truly stops me in my tracks and commands such attention. What is it that whacked me on the side of the head? Ricotta cheese made by Salvatore in Brooklyn. The label says it all. Thanks to Kevin for sharing, I have a new outlook on ricotta. And so, with this amazing ricotta, we had pasta. Simple noodles with tomato, garlic, and crushed red pepper topped with generous dollops of my new favorite ingredient and a grinding of black pepper. Sure, you ask, how good can ricotta be? I awoke this morning thinking of making another bowl full of this pasta for breakfast.
