I’m just over halfway through this book. I am taking my time reading it. I don’t want it to end. “Franklin Barbecue: A Meat Smoking Manifesto” by Aaron Franklin and Jordan Mackay tells a story. It shares a process. It exudes passion and drive. I have not experienced a book like this since “The French Laundry.” Single-minded dedication is an amazing thing to witness. When you get an inside look, really a personalized tour of the whole story, you rethink and re-examine your own path. Tomorrow I’ll dive back into the chapter “Fire and Smoke.” This is a book that will recalibrate your senses. Take your time and enjoy the education.
