We had our first soft shell crabs of the season at Charcoal BYOB in Yardley. It’s our restaurant of choice for birthday celebrations, and since Alex’s birthday is in May, that means we always get to sample their latest version of soft shell crab. It’s always served with pasta and always delicious. In this version, it is served with squid ink fusilli, lovage, and an Old Bay spiked tomato sauce. The combination of noodles and crab is a crushworthy experience and one we look forward to every year. It’s one of our very favorite, truly seasonal treats.
