Watching Amaya’s little hands investigate the world is invigorating. At times they are shy and at others they are bold and brash. They can be quick and nimble while performing familiar tasks and equally awkward in a new environment. The use of utensils, often insisted upon by adults, is optional and looked at only when really necessary (in the presence of hot and wet food and when a drum solo is required). Her hands demonstrate her curiosity as she takes time not just to feed herself but to learn about the food before her.
