In trying to unearth creativity, I do a tremendous amount of digging and uncover new thoughts. The problem is when I forget to empty the dustbin. It gets full of discarded and dismantled attempts and endeavors. These thoughts and trials overflow from bin to floor to workspace. In order to keep space for the execution of ideas, I must continue to remind myself that I do not need to save everything. Just throw away the trash. If something mistakenly goes in the trash, that is a product of discovery. If I just kept everything around, I would have no new space. The dump, like garage sales, is good; without an in-depth cleaning, we become caught in yesterday and worry about tomorrow rather than focus on today.
